Russell Square is a large garden square in Bloomsbury, in the London Borough of Camden, built predominantly by the firm of James Burton. By Train

If you are coming to London from the North you will be arriving at Euston Station, on the Birmingham train. The Avanti West Coast service into Euston takes one hour and twenty minutes to make its journey from the Midlands. If you want to continue by train when you arrive, change for the Northern Line tube to Tottenham Court Road. From there, it is a short walk to the venue.

By Taxi

There are several services operating at the nearest bus stop such as the ;

By Road

Come in from the A10 when driving into London, then take Old Street/A5201 and A1 to Long Lane, continue along Long Lane to Charterhouse Street, then Holborn/A40 in Farringdon. Carry on the A40 down to Bloomsbury Square, where you will find your course venue.

 

Parking

NCP is not far away, do expect London prices though.

The obvious choice would be prebooking with the venue itself, which is open 24 hours and is a secure option.

There are a few more NCP car parks including NCP London Bloomsbury Square Car Park which is right next to the venue, although has mixed reviews.

You could choose to stay at ParkBee Holiday Inn London - Bloomsbury as the parking is on-site.

You can try to find cheaper options using the JustPark app. It is suggested to pre-book, you will find a number of local suggestions.

 

Walkability

With a Walk Score of 100/100 showing that this area of London is totally walkable.

You will be able to have a stroll and find Regents Park is minutes away.

The Brunswick Centre is nearby and has many shopping options as well as an arthouse cinema inside. It is a good place to grab a coffee or a snack.

 

Accommodation

As mentioned before if you stay at ParkBee Holiday Inn London - Bloomsbury there is the distinct advantage of a parking spot right there.

Exmouth Arms is good if you are on a budget. A 10-minute walk from The Regent's Park, this trendy backpackers' hostel is a traditional pub and is convenient if coming into London from outside, as it’s very close to Euston station. And at £55 a night it’s a good option.

Astor Museum Hostel is very close to the course venue, and is worth considering at £68 per night.

 

Food

You will need to eat while in London, so for a fast food choice give The Bumble Bees a go, good grub at a great price.

Supawan Thai Food is a great Thai cafe with simple, but exotic delights, such as curries, tom yum noodles & spring rolls.

You will find all the expected chains pop up, including a circle of Five Guys in the immediate area, plus there are all the usual coffee shops such as Costa Coffe.
